WKU Students Awarded Gilman Scholarships
Three Western Kentucky University students have received prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships for the fall 2009 semester.
Biology Student Wins NSF Graduate Research Fellowship
WKU student Joseph Chavarria-Smith received a prestigious NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. The award comes with an annual stipend of $30,000 plus a cost of education allowance for up to three years.
Gatton Academy Student Named Department of Defense SMART Scholar
The Department of Defense selected Gatton Academy student Rachel Bowman for a SMART Scholarship. These awards provide an annual salary, while also covering the cost of tuition, books, and other educational expenses.
Two WKU Students Named Udall Scholars
The Morris K. Udall Undergraduate Scholarship Program selected two WKU students, Joey Coe and Patrick Stewart, to receive scholarships. The award pays up to $5,000 in educational expenses.
Gatton Academy Student Named Goldwater Scholar, Two Other WKU Students Honored
The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation awarded Gatton Academy student Dalton Hubble a prestigious Goldwater Scholarship. Johnathan Brantley and Joseph Marquardt received honorable mentions in the scholarship competition.
