Quality Matters

The Distance Learning Center uses the Quality Matters© rubric to facilitate the transition from a traditional course to an online course. The QM rubric is the tool used for assessing course quality in a peer review process at Western Kentucky University. To ensure a course is ready to be peer reviewed, we encourage faculty to use the QM rubric during the design and implementation phases of the ADDIE model. The QM rubric becomes the guideline to incorporate the necessary components of successful instruction at the module/lesson level in fully online and blended courses. To learn more about the use of the QM rubric visit:

Our staff is available to consult individually with WKU faculty members on questions related to the use of the QM and other rubrics for course design. To learn more about Quality Matters at WKU contact FaCET at facet@wku.edu or call (270) 745-6508.
