"I love teaching online. It is flexible and engaging in so many ways that are not possible in a classroom setting. It has given me new ways to communicate--I can link my words directly to websites that illustrate concepts and information instantly. It's almost like letting students see what I'm thinking."
Ingrid Cartwright, Art Professor
As one of the central strategies to support faculty teaching online at Western Kentucky University, the Center of Technology Services for Online Teaching (Distance Learning Center) provides faculty with a one-stop-shop for all their concerns and needs in terms of online teaching and learning. This includes instructional design services, where Distance Learning staff work one-on-one with faculty to organize their courses, upload videos, provide Tegrity training, ensure ADA compliance, and evaluate overall quality of the course.
