WKU Online

A Unit of DELO, The Division of Extended Learning and Outreach
"Teaching online has been a wonderful opportunity for me! With the training I received from FaCET's Online Teaching summer camp and the support from the Office of Distance Learning, I feel I have been able to reach and serve a completely different population of students than I was when I only taught face-to-face. I am very grateful for the training, support, and experiences."

Instructional Design

As one of the central strategies to support faculty teaching online at Western Kentucky University, the Center of Technology Services for Online Teaching (Distance Learning Center) provides faculty with a one-stop-shop for all their concerns and needs in terms of online teaching and learning. This includes instructional design services, where Distance Learning staff work one-on-one with faculty to organize their courses, upload videos, provide Tegrity training, ensure ADA compliance, and evaluate overall quality of the course.
