Welcome! Thank you for your interest in Western Kentucky University's online programs. WKU now offers more than 30 graduate, undergraduate and certificate programs online. Online Master Degree Programs
WKU offers a variety of Masters degrees that may be earned online. Admission to the Graduate Studies Program at WKU is required as well as admission into the program itself.
Online Baccalaureate Degree Programs
Many bachelor degrees at WKU may be earned online. In addition, online courses can also be taken in conjunction with your major that may equal a minor or specialized certificate. Admission to WKU as an undergraduate is required.
Additional Information for Baccalaureate Degree Candidates
Students seeking a baccalaureate degree from WKU must complete general education requirements, and depending on the major area of study, a minor may also be required. For most majors, General Education requirements are available online by taking a combination of web and independent learning courses. Please note: Students should check with their assigned advisor prior to registering for courses, as certain majors require specific general education courses.
Online Associate Degree Programs
Typically, Associate Degrees can be earned in as little as two years. Often students choose to complete an Associate program before moving on to a Bachelor program. Many of the courses required for an Associate may count toward a four year degree.
Online Certificate and Endorsement Programs
WKU offers the opportunity for graduate and undergraduate students to earn certificates in specialty areas as they are working toward their degree. Currently seven certificate programs and one endorsement are available online.
