The WKU Division of Extended Learning and Outreach (DELO) delivers quality credit and non–credit educational opportunities to individuals, organizations, and the public using flexible and accessible formats.

Independent Learning

WKU's Independent Learning program recognizes the need of student so pursue educational experiences outside the traditional college classroom due to geographic and time constraints.  Independent Learning opportunities are provided for undergraduate and graduate college students in direct response to this need.  Each course is taught by WKU faculty.  We offer more than 65 courses.   Registrations are accepted any day of the year and are considered in-state for tuition purposes.  You may take up to one full year or as little as six to eight weeks to complete a course.  Students do not have to be formally admitted to WKU to take these courses, however if you intend to pursue a degree, you will need to be formally admitted.

Education delivered to your door, at your pace, when convenient for you. 
You decide when class meets.

Interactive Video Services

Interactive Video Services provides increased educational opportunities for WKU students across the state. Each Interactive Video (IVS) classroom is equipped with audio and video equipment for complete transmission capabilities. A variety of multi-media tools are also available to enhance classroom instruction.
