WKU Internationalization Grant Opportunities

The development of internationally engaged faculty and staff is central to WKU's vision of becoming "a leading American university with international reach." The Office of International Programs sponsors the following grant programs to encourage and enable faculty and staff to internationalize their teaching, research, and service. CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT/INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM GRANT  

The CDIP grant supports faculty in developing expanded opportunities for credit bearing education abroad opportunities (i.e., study, research, internship, service learning, etc.) for WKU students.

Deadline: October 15, and March 15, annually 


INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITIES GRANT

The IAG is designed to support faculty engaging in international activities such as, but not limited to, research projects abroad, attendance and/or participation at a conference, etc.

Deadline: October 15, and March 15, annually 


 ZSEIFS PROJECT CONTINUATION GRANT

The ZSEIFS PCG supports ZSEIFS alumni in expanding or continuing projects developed as a result of their ZSEIFS participation. 

Deadline: Proposals accepted on a rolling basis. Contact OIP to determine if funds are available before preparing a proposal. 


 STAFF INTERNATIONALIZATION GRANT 

The SIG provides support for professional staff to expand their understanding of the value of internationalization and bring back programs, ideas, etc. for implementation in order to assist in creative and sustainable internationalization at WKU.

Deadline: October 15, and March 15, annually 


 GLOBAL ENCOUNTERS SUPPORT GRANT

The GES grant supports programming designed to provide the WKU campus and community with unique academic opportunities to experience and engage with new and diverse cultures and perspectives.

Deadline: October 15, and March 15, annually 


 INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK GRANT

International Education Week is a celebration of the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative between the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Education takes place annually in November. The IEW grant supports programs and events that meet IEW objectives.
