Microbiology Club receives grant

The WKU Student Chapter of the American Society for Microbiology recently received a $400 grant from the Kentucky-Tennessee branch of the American Society for Microbiology to support club activities.
The chapter’s mission is to promote student interest and enhance microbiology education at WKU, to further theoretical and practical knowledge of microbiology related research, to provide educational outreach programs to the community, and to promote student participation in local, state and national ASM meetings.
The WKU Microbiology Club had a successful first year and has developed an exciting agenda of club activities for the 2011-12 academic year.

MATHCOUNTS represents the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers’ (KSPE) ongoing commitment to encourage sixth, seventh and eighth grade students to strengthen skills in math, science, leadership and teamwork.
