Welcome to our Web Portal, we're glad you stopped by. We decided to create
this site for you, the "prospective student"--that's a fancy university term
for "interested high school student"--to give you a glimpse of what the
college life is like and provide you with some very important links here at
the Western Kentucky University.

The First Year Achiever is designed to engage you as a new student (first
year, transfer or graduate) to WKU in academic enhancement activities and
student development activities. By participating in this array of structure
activities you will enhance your self efficacy and have a superior
transition experience.

Part of your college experience includes being involved in some extra curricular experiences. The Office of Diversity Programs has developed a variety of programs including, internships, practicums, work and volunteer opportunites as well as partnership relationships with a variety of student organizations. It is our hope that we can help you to find the right experience for you.
