Bio
Mrs. Jackson earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from WKU in 2005. She was employed as a Registered Nurse on a cardiac telemetry floor of a community hospital, where she served as a Charge Nurse and Preceptor for new employees and students. While pursuing her Masters degree, she began working as an adjunct faculty member for Campbellsville University School of Nursing, assisting with Medical-Surgical Nursing I clinical and labs. She graduated from WKU in 2010 with a Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner tract. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has worked in an Internal Medicine office and Urgent Care center. She began teaching in the Associate Degree Nursing Program at WKU in Fall 2011 and continues to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the Kentucky Coalition for Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
