Bio
Dawn Wright is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at WKU. She received a BSN and MSN with an emphasis in Nursing Education from WKU. Dr. Wright received her Ph.D. in Nursing Science from the Vanderbilt University. She is also recognized by the National League for Nursing as a Certified Nursed Educator (CNE).
Dr. Wright teaches Maternal Child Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Senior Practicum and a variety of elective courses including Parish Nursing and Complementary Health Care. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Kentucky Nurses Association, National League for Nursing, Kentucky League for Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau International. Her research interests include pediatric obesity, health promotion and health literacy across the lifespan, and issues related to nursing education.
