Green, Ky. - Sixteen Western Kentucky University students will be in Washington Feb. 25-March 1 for the Conservative Political Action Conference.
“WKU at CPAC is a program which will provide students an opportunity to experience one of our nation’s most significant political conferences,” faculty leader Joel Turner of WKU’s Political Science Department said. “During the conference, students will hear prominent conservative political speakers such as Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich and Mike Huckabee, attend panel discussions on important social and political issues and participate in leadership training activities.”
Turner said students will also be attending a Thursday morning session in the Congressional Gallery and meeting with Rep. Brett Guthrie, R-Ky., on Friday.
While at CPAC, students will be blogging about their experiences. This blog can be accessed at www.wkuatcpac.blogspot.com.
