Anthem, WKU To Unveil Second Mobile Health Unit Tuesday

Bowling Green, Ky. - A second mobile health unit, made possible by a $300,000 gift from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation, will be unveiled at 10 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 30) at the Housing Authority of Bowling Green, 247 Double Springs Road.
           
The mobile health units, operated by Western Kentucky University’s Institute for Rural Health Development and Research, provide health and dental services to thousands of residents in the region. The new unit will provide medical services, such as free immunizations and health screenings.
           
WKU President Gary Ransdell and Anthem President and General Manager Deb Moessner will be among the speakers.
