Independent Learning Adds New Courses

Green, Ky. - Independent Learning recognizes the need for many individuals to pursue an education outside the traditional college classroom and meets that need by offering more than 70 self-paced courses via e-mail, online, CD-Rom and print. These courses are available for enrollment any day of the year.
As self-paced learning becomes more attractive to students, enrollments in Western Kentucky University’s Independent Learning courses have been on the rise. Enrollments increased by 42 percent in the 2007-08 academic year and are up 25 percent so far this year.
As enrollment has grown, so has the number of courses WKU faculty offer through the Independent Learning format. The following new courses are now available for registration:
