Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University’s Continuing Education department has partnered with Athena The Training Professionals out of Nashville to offer a wide array of new management and computer trainings and courses to area businesses in November and December.
These professional development programs are geared toward Information Technology (IT) professionals and help participants enhance skills in areas such as recruiting, communications and customer service.
The following programs are available for registration through Continuing Education:
- Improving Meeting & Presentation Skills for IT Professionals, Dec. 1-2
- Building Extraordinary Communications Skills in IT Leadership, Nov. 21 and Dec. 8
- IT Help Desk: Providing Great Customer Service and Creating Internal Customer Loyalty in your Department, Nov. 14
- Recruiting the Best Fit for your IT Department: The Art of Closing the Deal, Nov. 17
- Building Team Communication: A Course for the Entire IT Department, Nov. 14
- Leading Change in the Workplace, Nov. 18
- Performance Management in the IT Workplace, Nov. 18
In addition to these courses, Ken Blanchard’s seminars “The Story of the One Minute Manager” and “Introduction to Situational Leadership II” are also being offered on Nov. 24. In these highly interactive seminars, participants will learn how to build and lead a team, evaluate a team’s performance, and develop an action plan for continued leadership success. Both programs have been approved for 3.5 Professional Development Units (PDU’s) by PMI®.
All courses will be held at the Carroll Knicely Conference Center at 2355 Nashville Road in Bowling Green. Course times and fees vary.
