Butler Co. Student Wins KAEOPP Scholarship

Bowling Green, Ky. - Brittany Felty, a senior at Butler County High School, has been selected as the 2008 Upward Bound Kentucky Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel scholarship winner.

Felty was in competition for this statewide scholarship with other nominated Kentucky Upward Bound students. She has been a member of the Western Kentucky University Upward Bound program since her junior year in high school and will begin college this summer.

KAEOPP is the statewide organization for the TRiO programs. These programs are federally funded through the U.S. Department of Education and provide assistance to middle and high school students, college students, and adults in succeeding in college.
