Southern Kentucky Concert Band Season Begins June 5

Bowling Green, Ky. - The Southern Kentucky Concert Band’s 15th Twilight Concert Series will begin June 5 at Basil Griffin Park Amphitheater.

The concerts are free and begin at 7 p.m. The 2008 summer schedule includes:

June 5: Dancin’ Without the Stars
June 12: The Music of Leroy Anderson
June 19: Off-Off-Off Broadway
June 26: Cinematic Sounds
July 3: A Star-Spangled Spectacular
July 10: The Lost River Cave Big Band

The band, under the direction of Joe Stites, will rehearse from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays in the Western Kentucky University Band Rehearsal Hall.
