Free Concerts Offered During Topper Clarinet Weekend

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University’s Department of Music kicks off the first Topper Clarinet Weekend, hosted by Dr. John Cipolla, on June 5-7.

Several free public events are planned during the weekend including:

*June 5: 6:30 p.m., Jazz Clarinet Recital with Dr. Cipolla (clarinet), “Doc” Livingston (piano/clarinet), Tim Livingston (bass)

*June 6: 7:30 p.m., Classical Clarinet Recital with Dr. Cipolla (clarinet), Charlotte Smith (piano), Larry Long (bassoon)

*June 7: 1:30 p.m.: Topper Student Clarinet Choir and Clarinet Quartet Recital.

All events will be held in the Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center Recital Hall on the campus of WKU.  The recitals are free and open to the public.
