Bowling
Green, Ky. - Ken Blanchard’s One Minute Manager® started a management revolution more than 20 years ago. With 13 million copies sold worldwide and 10,000 copies still selling every month, it is one of the best-selling management books in history.
Blanchard’s Situational Leadership® II is a comprehensive, yet practical method for effectively leading and developing people into peak performers. The training program focuses on the first two skills of a Situational Leader: Diagnosis and Flexibility.
Now Western Kentucky University’s Continuing Education department and Athena The Training Professionals of Nashville, Tenn., are partnering to bring these two training programs to managers and leaders in Bowling Green and surrounding areas. In these highly interactive seminars, you will learn how to build and lead a team, evaluate your team’s performance, and develop an action plan for continued leadership success. Both programs have been approved for 3.5 Professional Development Units (PDU’s) by PMI®.
The One Minute Manager® program is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. July 24, and the Situational Leadership® II program is scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon July 25 at the Carroll Knicely Conference Center. The programs are geared toward managers with three years or less of management experience who want to better manage people, time and resources. It is also appropriate for more experienced managers interested in refreshing their managerial skills as well as individuals in IT leadership roles, including executives, managers, project managers, team leaders and supervisors.
For detailed information about these training programs and to register online visit the Continuing Education website at www.wku.edu/ce. Advance registrations and walk-in registrations are accepted until the time of the presentations.
