Visiting Professor From Turkey Talks On 'Responsible Business Education'

Bowling Green, Ky. - Semra Ascigil, an associate professor at Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, will present “Responsible Business Education” in Western Kentucky University’s Grise Hall Auditorium at 2 p.m. Feb. 8.
           
Ascigil studied at WKU as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar for two semesters in 2003-04.  She worked with Dr. Nace Magner on a paper that was published in Psychological Reports.
           
She has fond memories of her time at WKU and visits whenever possible.  She has agreed to return to WKU to make this presentation while in the United States.
           
Ascigil was given the Chevening Fellowship by British Government and spent three months at Nottingham University.  She was recently granted ambassadorship role for the Women Entrepreneurship and Employment Project launched by the British Embassy in Ankara, Turkey.
           
She is a “cooperating Faculty” at the Ethical Leadership Center, University of California at Long Beach.
