WKU Honors Scholars From Owensboro Area High Schools

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University honored 87 seniors from 11 Owensboro area high schools for their academic achievements.

Tuesday’s annual High School Scholars Luncheon honored high school seniors who qualify for at least a renewable full-tuition scholarship to WKU. This year’s group has an average ACT composite score of 29 and grade-point average of 3.90 and includes 31 Governor’s Scholars and six National Merit Semifinalists.

The students honored at the RiverPark Center included:

From Apollo High School: Danielle Bethel, Ian Flener, Elizabeth Harpe, Alyssa Oller, Courtney Schisler, Alison Schroeder and Lauren Thomas.
