Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University will host its annual Girls in Science Day on March 1 at Thompson Complex Central Wing.
Girls in fourth through seventh grade will be engaged in hands-on activities to increase their confidence in math and science. The cost is $5.
Girls in Science Day begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m. Participants can choose from 11 classes in the morning session. The afternoon session features a chemistry show. For registration details and class descriptions, send an email to girlsinscience@wku.edu. Registration deadline is Feb. 22.
Girls in Science Day is sponsored by Women in Science and Engineering (WISE), Women’s Studies, Ogden College of Science and Engineering, and the Provost’s office.
