Green, Ky. - U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell will officially open the Cyber Defense Lab at Western Kentucky University’s Center for Research and Development on Tuesday.
The 10 a.m. ceremony will include a demonstration of the Network Attack Characterization Modeling and Simulation Testbed, or NACMAST, a major project to enhance the security of Department of Defense and other computer networks. Sen. McConnell secured the federal funding for the project.
Other speakers will include WKU President Gary Ransdell and Ed Tivol, vice president of Electronic Warfare Associates, Government Systems Inc, the prime contractor on the project.
The Center for Research and Development is located at 2413 Nashville Road.
