WKYU-PBS Produces HD Documentary On Mammoth Cave National Park

December 01, 2008

Bowling Green, Ky. - WKYU-PBS, Western Kentucky University’s public television service, is proud to announce the production of “Mammoth Cave:  A Way to Wonder.”  The project is a 60-minute high-definition documentary that is being produced in conjunction with the national PBS Ken Burns film “The National Parks:  Americas Best Idea.”

“Mammoth Cave:  A Way to Wonder” is a program that will explore Mammoth Cave National Park in ways few have taken.  The documentary will focus on the science, history, arts and human stories that are interwoven into the life of the land that has become a national park.

The project is a cooperative effort between WKYU-PBS, Mammoth Cave and the Friends of Mammoth Cave National Park.  A project of this magnitude couldn’t be completed without the partnership that has been forged between these groups.

“Mammoth Cave:  A Way to Wonder” is being shot in full high definition and is expected to be completed by July of 2009.
