Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University will honor students from area high schools for their academic achievements.
Next month’s annual High School Scholars Luncheons honor students who qualify for at least a renewable full-tuition scholarship to WKU.
Here’s the schedule:
Jan. 8: Glasgow Area Scholars Luncheon, sponsored by South Central Bank, at 11:30 a.m. at the South Central Bank Operations Center (Bale-O’Bryan Community Room) in Glasgow for students from Barren County, Caverna, Glasgow, Metcalfe County and Monroe County.
Jan. 13: Owensboro Area Scholars Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at the RiverPark Center in Owensboro for students from Apollo, Daviess County, Hancock County, Henderson County, McLean County, Ohio County, Owensboro, Owensboro Catholic and Whitesville Trinity.
Jan. 22: South Central Kentucky Scholars Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at the Kentucky Library & Museum for students from Allen County-Scottsville, Butler County, Edmonson County, Franklin-Simpson, Logan County and Russellville.
Jan. 23: Bowling Green/Warren County Scholars Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at the Kentucky Library & Museum for students from Bowling Green, Greenwood, Warren Central and Warren East.
Jan. 27: Elizabethtown Area Scholars Dinner at 6 p.m. (Eastern time) at the State Theater in Elizabethtown for
students from Central Hardin, Elizabethtown, Fort Knox, John Hardin, Larue County, Meade County and North Hardin.
