Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University will host International Night 2008 on Friday (April 11) at Downing University Center.
The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. with an internationally themed meal at DUC’s Fresh Food Company.
A cultural expo will begin at 7 p.m. on DUC’s fourth floor and will feature performances by a Thai Dance Troupe, Korean Drum Corps and the Movements of Joy dance group. International desserts also will be served.
An international fashion show will begin at 8 p.m. on DUC’s fourth floor. The Amazing Tones of Joy will perform.
Following the fashion show, WKU’s International Club will provide a salsa exhibition and lessons. The International Night will end with an “all styles” dance party featuring a performance by the dance group X-plicit.
The activities are open to WKU students, faculty and staff as well as the community. International Night 2008 is sponsored by the Office of International Programs, Office of Diversity Programs, Downing University Center, International Club, and the Study Abroad Office.
