WKU Invites Phi Gamma Delta To Join Greek Community

April 01, 2008

Bowling Green, Ky. - The Greek Affairs Office, along with the Fraternity Expansion Committee, has invited Phi Gamma Delta to colonize at Western Kentucky University in the fall of 2008.

Phi Gamma Delta, also known as Fiji or Phi Gam, was one of two fraternities invited by the Fraternity Expansion Committee for campus interviews in March. The committee consisted of faculty, chapter advisors and undergraduate fraternity and sorority members.

“Phi Gamma Delta was selected for its high scholarship standards and commitment to leadership development throughout all phases of collegiate membership,” said Gary Wiser, Coordinator of Greek Affairs.  “The fraternity will be a great addition to our award winning Greek community.”

Founded in 1848 at Jefferson College (now Washington and Jefferson College), the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta has 110 chapters and six colonies in the United States and Canada. The Fraternity’s International Headquarters is located in Lexington. To learn more about Phi Gamma Delta, visit www.phigam.org.
