April 23, 2008

Bowling Green, Ky. - Steven Bliss, a student in Western Kentucky University’s Upward Bound program, competed for the Kentucky Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (KAEOPP) April 19 at the regional Scholar’s Bowl academic competition in Atlanta.

Bliss, a senior at Edmonson County High School, was an integral part in the KAEOPP team that won first place in the annual competition among academic teams from eight southern states.

Bliss, a member of the WKU Upward Bound program for three years, was chosen to represent Kentucky at the regional competition after KAEOPP’s statewide competition in February.
