Ticket Prices Reduced For Two-Day Benefit Concert At WKU

Bowling Green, Ky. - Ticket prices have been reduced to $15 per night with a valid WKU ID and $20 per night for the general public for next week’s Festival of Heroes, a two-day benefit concert hosted by Western Kentucky University’s Campus Activities Board.

All tickets are general admission and are available at the WKU Ticket Office or online at www.wkusports.com. Students must purchase tickets in person at the ticket office with a valid ID and WKU Student ID to receive discounted tickets.

Sixteen local, regional and national artists covering a variety of musical genres will perform during the Sept. 13 and 14 event at WKU’s Diddle Arena. The concert will begin at 5 p.m. both days. Special guest emcee Marcia Wallace and former St. Jude patients will also be on hand to inform the audience about the endeavors of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Donations will be accepted at the event.

Artists scheduled to perform Sept. 13 are: Augustana, Ben Kweller, Carawae, Everday Atlas, Hawthorne Heights, Making April, My Favorite Highway and Recycled Percussion.

Artists scheduled to perform Sept. 14 are: The Basement Upstairs, Gravity Hill, Grits, Jason Mraz, John Reuben, Lupe Fiasco, Redding Brothers and Thousand Foot Krutch.
