Green, Ky. - The Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors -- International (ACCED-I) placed a spotlight on the Carroll Knicely Conference Center in the most recent edition of its e-Communiqué newsletter.
This spotlight brings national attention to the Knicely Center, to WKU and to the city of Bowling Green. The Knicely Center is a full-service, all-occasion facility that offers event planning, catering services and state-of-the-art technology for all types of educational and social functions including corporate events, trainings, meetings, workshops, holiday parties, retirement dinners, weddings and receptions.
In August, the Knicely Center was honored to receive a monetary gift from a valued long-term client, Ward Elliott, in appreciation for services provided for many years by the Knicely Center. In return, the board room is now named the Ward & Ann Elliott Board Room.
In November 2006, the Knicely Center became a certified One-Stop Shop with ACCED-I. The One-Stop Shop status is not only recognized as an elite status in the ACCED-I organization, but it also helps the conference center to be known on campus, in the community and on a national level.
ACCED-I is a nonprofit association for collegiate conference and events professionals and the newsletter is published nationally in print and online five times per year to its more than 1,400 members. ACCED-I has increased the visibility and enhanced the stature of the collegiate conference and events profession since 1980.
