Green, Ky. - For the first time in its history, enrollment at Western Kentucky University has passed the 19,000 mark.
According to preliminary figures that will be submitted to the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education on Wednesday, fall 2007 enrollment at WKU is 19,215, up 549 students from fall 2006. This represents a 2.9 percent increase and marks the 10th consecutive year WKU has shown an enrollment gain.
