WKU Offering Business Nexus Networking Forum On Tuesday

October 29, 2007

Bowling Green, Ky. - In its inaugural event Tuesday afternoon, the Business Nexus networking forum will present the Next Generation Wind Turbine demonstration and a presentation on Business Alignment for Growth.

The networking forum at WKU’s Center for Research & Development on Nashville Road is organized for regional entrepreneurs and existing business owners to meet potential new customers, strategic business partners, investors and service providers during the social hour at 3:30 p.m. The forum presentation is designed to offer useful tools and ideas that may prove helpful in translating entrepreneurial dreams into realities, and ideas about new products and services into businesses or new product launches.

“This event is being offered through a partnership to help support regional entrepreneurs and existing businesses to impact the regional economy through successful business start-ups and existing business growth to the next platform. Various programs at WKU and the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce are partnering to leverage our resources and expertise to catalyze business growth in the region,” said Sadiq Shah, Associate Vice President of WKU’s Office of Research and Economic Development.

The presentation by Jim Fugitte, CEO of Wind Energy Corporation, will follow a demonstration of one of the most technologically advanced wind energy turbines in existence today. The exhibit will be followed by a question and answer session.

Tuesday’s event, sponsored by the Central Region Innovation and Commercialization Center, will begin with the social hour at 3:30 p.m. followed by the presentation and demonstration at 4:30 p.m.
