WKU To Honor Top Volunteers, Alumni Chapters

Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University will recognize its top volunteers, alumni chapters and alumni Thursday night at the ninth annual Summit Awards.
Distinguished Service Medals to recognize the service of the University’s top three volunteers will be presented to Chuck Clark of Hoover, Ala., Belle Hunt of Bowling Green and Leo Peckenpaugh of Henderson.
Terra Scovil of Louisville is the Young Alumna of the Year while Carrie Barnette of Bowling Green is the Alumna of the Year.
The Summit Awards will be presented at the Knicely Conference Center at WKU’s South Campus. The event begins with a reception at 6 p.m. and the awards program at 6:30 p.m.
The Central Kentucky, Greater Louisville, Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati, Muhlenberg County, Heartland, Owensboro, Barren County and Warren County alumni chapters will be recognized as Chapters of Distinction for their efforts in organizing alumni events, community service projects, student recruitment and special events.
University-wide volunteer of the year awards will be presented to the following:
