WKU Students To Visit US Olympic Committee Headquarters

Bowling Green, Ky. - Twelve students and two faculty members from the Western Kentucky University Recreation & Sport Administration program have been invited to participate in the 3rd Annual Sport Management Seminar conducted by the staff at the United States Olympic Committee Headquarters during the May term.
           
Twenty-eight sport professionals will speak on topics such as international games preparation, security, media relations and marketing.
           
“This exciting tour of the USOC is a great opportunity for future professionals to interact with our nation’s best sport managers,” Glenn Werner-Roseboom, associate director and seminar coordinator, said.
           
Students from WKU and the University of Alabama will work collaboratively on practical projects throughout week under the supervision of USOC staff. The group will also visit the facilities of the United States Air Force Academy, Invesco at Mile High Stadium, and the Pepsi Center during their stay.
