WKU, National City Award Incentive Scholarships

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University and National City on Thursday announced the four recipients of the National City Harman andnational city scholars Potter Incentive Scholarships for 2007.

The four-year renewable tuition scholarships are designated for a graduating senior in each of the four high schools in Bowling Green and Warren County. The scholarships were first awarded in the fall of 1986.

The 2007 recipients recognized Thursday at the Kentucky Building are:


*Jesse Hazel of Warren Central High School. He is the son of Joe and Debra Hazel and plans to major in art.

*Nicholas (Nick) Slattery of Bowling Green High School. He is the son of Tim and Elizabeth Slattery and plans to major in journalism or broadcasting.

*Derrick Stinnett of Warren East High School. He is the son of Mary Stinnett and plans to major in pre-pharmacy.

*Jacob Strain of Greenwood High School. He is the son of Michael and Wynn Strain and plans to major in pre-medicine.
