Green, Ky. -Western Kentucky University’s Department of Engineering will display a wide range of student projects Wednesday.
The WKU Engineering Student Expo 2007: A Celebration of Student Design, Research and Scholarship will feature demonstrations of student work in civil, electrical and mechanical engineering.
The event will begin at noon at the McConnell Applications Lab in the Complex for Engineering and Biological Sciences (EBS 1115).
Demonstrations will include a wide range of curricular and extracurricular projects. The mechanical engineering students will be showing their Mini-Baja off-road vehicle after a four-year hiatus. The concrete canoe and steel bridge projects from the civil engineering students will be on display, along with their concrete Frisbee team. The electrical engineering students with have their IEEE Autonomous Robot running on its course. In addition, various entrepreneurial and design projects will be on display, with students on hand to explain their work.
