WKYU-PBS Sponsoring Reading Rainbow Young Writers And Illustrators Contest

Green, Ky. - WKYU-PBS is teaming up with Reading Rainbow to present the Young Writers and Illustrators Contest, a nationwide contest encouraging children, kindergarten through third grade, to write and illustrate their own story. Nationally 45,000 youngsters enter original stories yearly, with more than 200 entries submitted locally.
WKYU-PBS is inviting Kentucky kindergarten through third grade students to participate. The contest deadline is April 2. The winners will be announced at the conclusion of the Southern Kentucky BookFest on April 21.
Local winning entries will compete nationally for great prizes including computers and DVD players.
