WKU Students To Be Inducted Into Nursing Honor Society

Bowling Green, Ky. - More than 40 Western Kentucky University students will be inducted into the nursing honor society on Sunday (March 4).

The member induction for Sigma Theta Tau International’s Kappa Theta Chapter will begin at 3 p.m. at the
Medical Center in Bowling Green.

Students being inducted include the following:

From Bowling Green: Brittany Bale, Megan Brotherton, Jennifer Cates, Kristin Ferrell, Erin Hubbard, Anne Leonard, Rob Loughran, Kelly Steward, Karen Wilson.
From Glasgow: Kathy Brooks, Spencer Cole, Lauren Graves, Elizabeth Huber, Michael L. Pendleton Sr.
From Brownsville: Karen Browning, Christina Florence.
From Russellville: Sheila Flewallen, Alisha Hamidian.

From Owensboro: Nancy Oelze, Maghan Tromly.

From Rineyville: Leah Yates.
From Franklin: Wanda Hogan.
From Sturgis: Michele Simpson.

From Greenbrier, Tenn.: Courtney Bemiss.
From Portland, Tenn: Cala Stroud.
From Madison, Tenn: Shari Vicente.
From Brentwood, Tenn.: Sarah Woodall.
From Pegram, Tenn.: Emmalee McCrary.

The program will include welcoming remarks from Dr. Sylvia Gaiko, associate dean of the WKU College of Health and Human Services, and Betsey Kullman, chief nursing officer at the Medical Center. The speaker will be Dr. Susan Jones.

Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing was founded in 1922 by six nursing students at Indiana University and now has 446 chapters with more than 400,000 members.
