WKU Announces New Spirit Masters For 2007-08

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University has selected 17 students as new Spirit Masters for 2007-08.
Spirit Masters are the official student ambassadors for WKU. The purpose of the organization is to promote service, to enhance pride and to communicate an increased understanding of WKU. The organization accomplishes this purpose with great dedication and a sense of responsibility to the future students, current students, faculty, administration, alumni and community of WKU. Spirit Masters welcome every opportunity to promote WKU and exemplify the university motto, “The Spirit Makes the Master.”

The group is composed of no less than 24 members and no more than 32. All Spirit Masters must be students in good standing with the University and must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

The group will have 31 members in 2007-08. The new Spirit Masters include the following:


Kelly Jan Austin, a Calhoun sophomore and a biology major.
Megan Elizabeth Bird, a junior from Millersburg, Ohio, and a fashion merchandising/design major.
Monique Andree Braun, a Bowling Green freshman and a political science and communication studies major.
William Thomas Cannon, a Bowling Green junior and a history major.
Lauren Paige Carter, a Scottsville freshman and a management and marketing major.
Nathan Jacob Eaton, a Fairdale sophomore and a general marketing major.
Sarah Ann Foster, a junior from Mount Vernon, Ind., and a communication disorders major.
Catherine S. Gay, a senior from Evansville, Ind., and a civil engineering major.
Chase Everett Goff, a Bowling Green sophomore and a political science major.
Coleman A. Martin, a Bowling Green freshman and an undeclared major.
Lori Dianne Morel, a junior from Cordova, Tenn., and a religious studies and communications studies major.
Diane Elizabeth DeRosa-Reynolds, a Union sophomore and a sales marketing major.
Lynetra Cherri Ross, a freshman from Memphis, Tenn., and a mass communication major.
Caelin Jaclyn Smith, a Shelbyville junior and a corporate and organizational communication major.
Kelly Marie Stinson, a senior from Jeffersonville, Ind., and an advertising major.
Ena Viteskic, a Bowling Green sophomore and a political science major.
Earlene Racquel Whitaker, a Leitchfield sophomore and an agriculture economics major.
