WKU Student Receives Veterans Upward Bound Scholarship

Green, Ky. - A former participant in Western Kentucky University’s Veterans Upward Bound program has received a national scholarship provided by the National Organization of Veterans Upward Bound Projects Personnel (NAVUBPP) (http://veteransupwardbound.org).
Race Stork of Smiths Grove, who is studying nursing at WKU, was chosen in May for the scholarship that will be awarded for the fall semester of 2007.
NAVUBPP began its national scholarship program in 2004 and every year of the program’s existence Veterans Upward Bound at WKU has had a veteran participant win the scholarship. Previous winners include: Will King (2004), Kim Mack (2005) and Carlton Potter (2006).
