Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University’s Intramural-Recreational Sports department is hosting the 50th Annual WKU Faculty/Staff Golf Tournament and the WKU Collegiate Golf Alliance Classic on July 13 at CrossWinds Golf Course in Bowling Green. More than 180 employees, students, alumni and community members are expected to participate.
The morning event, the 50th Annual Aramark WKU Faculty/Staff Golf Tournament, is a longstanding tradition at the University and provides recreational, networking and fellowship opportunities for employees. Registration for the morning event is limited to current and former employees of the University and their families, and the cost is $50 per participant.
The afternoon tournament, the WKU Collegiate Golf Alliance Classic, provides competitive playing opportunities for students, faculty/staff, alumni and community members with the champions from each division being sent to Las Vegas to compete in the National Collegiate Golf Championship (NCGC). Registration for the afternoon event is open to anyone, and the cost is $60 per student or morning tournament participant or $75 for faculty/staff/community participants.
The NCGC is the largest collegiate golf tournament in the world and WKU representatives Peter St. Pierre and Gary Meszaros won the Faculty/Staff division at last year’s event.
