Green, Ky. - Three students from Western Kentucky University are among 10 Kentucky students to receive scholarships from the Kentucky Broadcasters Association.
Meredith Moore of Bowling Green, Christopher Morris of Louisville and Helen Thompson of Fancy Farm each received $1,000 scholarships for the 2007-08 academic year.
The annual KBA Harry Barfield Scholarship Program awards are based on academic achievement combined with extracurricular activities, and a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in broadcasting/telecommunicatons.
This marks the 16th year of the KBA Harry Barfield Scholarship Program. The scholarship award is named in honor of the late chairman, president and general manager of WLEX-TV in Lexington, Harry Barfield.
