Stop Signs To Be Added On WKU Campus
January 02 , 2007
Bowling
Green, Ky.
- Effective Jan. 8, two new stop signs will be in effect on the campus of Western Kentucky
University.
One stop sign will be added at the intersection of College Heights Boulevard and Avenue of Champions in front of Parking Structure 1 (PS1). The other stop sign will be directly in front of the Downing University Center (DUC). The purpose of these stop signs is to slow vehicular traffic and improve pedestrian safety.
Other pedestrian safety improvements that were completed as part of this project include installing additional speed humps and creating pedestrian zones in front of DUC and L.T. Smith Stadium.
A map of the changes is available at www.wku.edu/transportation.
