WKU, South Central Bank Honor High School Scholars

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University and South Central Bank honored 22 seniors from five Glasgow area high schools for their academic achievements.

Thursday’s annual High School Scholars Luncheon honored high school seniors who qualify for at least a renewable full-tuition scholarship to WKU. This year’s group has an average ACT composite score of 28.2 and grade-point average of 3.96 and includes 10 Governor’s Scholars.

The students honored at the Lera B. Mitchell Clubhouse in Glasgow included:

From Barren County High School: Brittany Billingsley, Michael Goodman, Ann-Ashleigh Gray, Daniel Honeycutt, Savannah Jackson, Stacie Marable, Sarah Toney, Amber Young.

From Caverna High School: Taylor West.

From Glasgow High School: Katrina Bidwell, Melanie Brauer, Kayla Foster, Ellen Murrey.

From Metcalfe County High School: Elizabeth Parsons, Jonathan Shaw, Tara Thompson, Emily Underwood.

From Monroe County High School: Lauren Anderson, Laura Bowman, Justin King, Samantha Rigsby, Amanda Walker.
