WKU Assistant Professor Honored For Anti-Drug Message

- Tommy Booras, an assistant professor of broadcast production at Western Kentucky
University, has been honored by the Tennessee office of the Drug Enforcement Administration for his part in a campaign promoting a drug-free lifestyle.
Booras collaborated with The VOice Team, a Nashville-based voice talent agency, by writing a radio spot for DEA’s Red Ribbon Week. The spot, “Just Say Yes to a Drug-Free Lifestyle,” was a national campaign that honored slain DEA agent Enrique Camerana.
Booras and Sara Dunn, co-owner of the VOice Team, received plaques in December from Harry Sommers, head of the DEA’s Tennessee office.
