WKU Student Radio Station Places Second In National Contest

Bowling Green, Ky. - WWHR-FM, Western Kentucky University’s student radio station, has placed second for Best Radio Newscast in the Broadcast Education Association’s annual competition.

Taylor King, a Waddy senior, is student news director. Andrew Salsman, a Bardstown senior, is student assistant news director. Bryan Hash, a Louisville senior, is student sports director.

Awards will be presented during the BEA Convention April 18-21 in Las Vegas. Maryland’s radio newscast placed first followed by WKU and Marshall.
