WKU Students Present Research At Posters-At-The-Capitol

Green, Ky. - More than 50 Western Kentucky University students displayed their research Thursday in the sixth annual Posters-at-the-Capitol event in Frankfort.
Posters-at-the-Capitol is intended to help members of Kentucky’s legislature and the governor better understand the importance of involving undergraduates in research, scholarly and creative work.
While at the Capitol, the WKU students were recognized in the House of Representatives by Speaker Jody Richards and received citations signed by Richards and Rep. Jim DeCesare.
Research posters presented by WKU students included the following:
The Kelly Autism Program: Independence and Productivity for Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders by Sarah McMaine of Owensboro, Jonathan Beaty of Bowling Green and Holly Conley of Evansville, Ind.; faculty mentor Marty Boman.
WKU Mechanical Engineering and Research by Matt Seibert of Evansville, Ind., and Ryan Farris of Marion, Ill.; faculty mentor Chris Byrne.
