Green, Ky. - The Kentucky Geographic Society will present its second annual Parent/Child GPS Day on March 24 at Western Kentucky University.
“Learning to Use GPS” will begin at 9:30 a.m. on the lawn of the Environmental Sciences and Technology Building. Students and parents will learn basic GPS skills and then will compete to find geocaches on campus.
Participants will be provided GPS units to use and training for the treasure hunt. This event is limited to 20 participants. In case of rain, the event will be held on April 7.
Register by March 20 through the Kentucky Geographic Alliance at kga@wku.edu or send registration to the Kentucky Geographic Alliance, EST, Western Kentucky University, 1906 College Heights Blvd., Bowling Green, KY 42101.
