Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University’s Division of Academic Affairs will host “Engaging the Spirit: Tools for Student Success” on Monday (Aug. 20).
The third annual conference for faculty and student affairs professional staff will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities begin at Van Meter Hall.
The featured speaker for the conference is Dr. Richard Paul, director of Research and Professional Development at the Center for Critical Thinking and an internationally recognized authority on critical thinking. His speech on critical thinking will offer a framework for thought and action by faculty members and campus leaders to consider during their pursuit of excellence and quality at WKU.
“Engaging the Spirit” will include more than 40 presentations by faculty and staff on the theme of tools for student success.
The conference will include recognition of Faculty Award Winners, Unit Productivity Award Winners, Distinguished University Professors, and New Faculty by Provost Barbara Burch.
