Green, Ky. - The deadline to register for the Senior Human Resource Management (SHRM) Learning System course through WKU’s Office of Continuing Education has been extended to Aug. 17.
The SHRM Learning System course provides an in-depth study of key areas in human resource management. Program topics include Strategic Management, Human Resource Development and Employee Labor Relations among others.
The course is specifically designed for staff and managers with experience in general management or human resource management. Human Resources practitioners seeking professional development, managers who are new to the HR field or HR professionals planning to take the PHR or SPHR certification exams would benefit greatly from the course.
“Besides being a powerful tool in preparing for the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification, this course will enable participants to become more confident in managing HR challenges,” said Sharon Woodward, Continuing Education Program Director for the WKU Division of Extended Learning and Outreach (DELO). “In addition to people currently working in HR, this will be a great course for experienced managers who are new to the HR field.”
The SHRM Learning System course will be held on Tuesday evenings, Sept. 4-Nov. 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Carroll Knicely Conference Center on WKU’s South Campus. The registration period has been extended to Aug. 17.
