WKU Hosting Two-Day Concert Sept. 13-14 At Diddle Arena

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University’s Campus Activities Board will host Festival of Heroes, a two-day concert event Sept. 13-14 to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Tickets go on sale Aug. 21.

One-day tickets are $35 for WKU students and $40 for non-students. Two-day tickets are $60 for WKU students and $70 for non-students. All tickets are general admission and are available at the WKU Ticket Office or online at www.wkusports.com.  Students must purchase tickets in person at the ticket office with a valid ID and WKU student ID to receive discounted tickets.

Sixteen bands – local, regional and national artists covering a variety of musical genres -- will perform during the Sept. 13-14 event at WKU’s Diddle Arena. The concert will begin at 5 p.m. both days.

Artists scheduled to perform Sept. 13 are: Auguatana, Ben Kweller, Carawae, Everday Atlas, Hawthorne Heights, Making April, My Favorite Highway and Recycled Percussion.

Artists scheduled to perform Sept. 14 are: The Basement Upstairs, Gravity Hill, Grits, Jason Mraz, John Reuben, Lupe Fiasco, Phi Mu Alpha Battle of the Bands Winner, Redding Brothers and Thousand Foot Krutch.
